Aarnxbrwn - Captain Black Planet

Aarnxbrwn recently released ‘Captain Black Planet’ from his album “Save Me I’m Drowning” and let me say that it HITS home. In the midst of everything going on in America we get to hear a frontline perspective as Aarnxbrwn was at the BLM protests in Richmond, VA.

‘But I can’t stop this black boy joy, n***a feeding the culture please enjoy’

Influenced by the likes of J. Cole, Kanye West, Tame Impala and more we get a very dynamic sound from not just ‘Captain Black Planet’ but his overall discography. What stood out at first play was the depth of his lyricism. You can tell the effort and time that Aarnxbrwn takes to paint his picture with words.

‘Pros and cons to being a black man, that’s special’

As he tells his story we get reminded that equality and opportunity in America is still far from perfect. His story is one of many in the black community and we are happy to see artists pushing the envelope by speaking out.

We really suggest you go check out his album “Save Me I’m Drowning” to really see what Aarnxbrwn is about.
