2020 has been a crazy year and Atlanta-based artist/producer Benkasso reminds us of that throughout his EP ‘What the F is Going On??’. The message behind his project is so powerful covering life as a black man or woman in America.

Police brutality, government setups, and economic disparities are some of the core subjects of the project. Benkasso’s story telling is so good it feels like he is just having a conversation with you over beats. He also pays homage to Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, and others who senselessly lost their lives to police brutality on our personal favorite ‘History Lesson’.

The mostly self-produced EP slaps! It great to hear such good lyricism over this type of production. In a world full of clones Benkasso is sticking to his guns and doing him. We love the sound, message, and what you are about Benkasso, keep feeding us!
