From the artist: I am a high school band director, and have been teaching high school band for 16 years, and just recently recorded and released this album of instrumentals entitled "Skywaves". Most of the tracks on this album are studio recordings of music I have written for my students (these students have also inspired many of the tracks) over the last 7 years. This album though is not an album of "school band" recordings, they are studio versions OF those school band songs I composed, recorded, and produced with contemporary sounds and instruments. I have been composing instrumental music for many years. I have won several nominations and awards for my music at 48 Hour Film Festivals, and I just recently finally got to record my debut album! I also have been able to get published a couple of concert band and marching band pieces and write new ones every year for my students and have been commissioned to write original works for bands. My music style I think would be best considered contemporary instrumental.
