Indie Artist: Jon Doe

Jon Doe presents a 4 part EP concept, in which the songs stylistically change.

Summertime Dandelion is the first chapter and depicts an imaginary interaction with a person who I’ve not even said hello to and it’s the idea of that rose tinted view of things/people and putting them on a pedestal.

Lady In Red is the continuation and is a stage of questioning within this 4 part story, trying to truly understand that the situation I have in my head is not what’s actually reality but because I’m blinded by their beauty it falls on deaf ears.

Poison is a literal metaphor it’s quite literally having too much of an obsession/lust towards a toxic person that it’s actually poisoning just thinking about it and it’s quite literally the stage of realisation the turning point.

Show me how to get over you is the final chapter and depicts the remnants of me (the protagonist) putting up a front that I’ve gotten over said person but it’s a facade and I slowly come to realise that as the song progresses and finally breakdown at the end and accept defeat before descending into madness.
