The song to us was like a knife, a beautiful and sharp knife into the heart. Her soft tone of voice combined with the underused guitar-voice combo tells such a telling story without too many words
“My name is Adlih (add-lee), which is my mother’s name backwards. My stage name is inretrograde. I chose that name because I tend to live in the past. I’m currently working on it, and writing about it. I’m a songwriter first and foremost and this song is about how it felt to say goodbye to someone. That’s all.
