Saligaude - Demain mercredi (Album)

This was one of the most eclectic albums the MB fam has heard this past year. Saligaude’s ‘Demain Mercredi’ is so cohesive that we almost didn’t notice we went through the whole album! To sum up the sound in one word…beautiful.

Written, produced, and mixed by Thierry Clouette (of Montreal’s trad trio É.T.É) the album was well put together. The mix of acid folk grooves & melodies led the way for the sound; an amazing arrangement of acoustic instruments, samples, & synths. As we went through the songs we were taken on a journey of different moods but always ended up with a pleasing feeling at the end.

Our notables from the album are ‘Le panier le moins cher sera mon cercueil’ & ‘La fleur de la giroflée est régulière’

If you need some quality and calming music this is the album for you. Saligaude has really moved the needle when it comes to this style and his collaboration with Thierry is something special that we all would love to hear continue.
