Seas Of Mirth - Sub Marine Dreams (Album Review)
Nottingham based ensemble Seas Of Mirth make their debut on our pages with their new album ‘Sub Marine Dreams.’
Sonically it ventures into elements of psyche, dark funk, jazz, disco, ambient, latin and even some chimepop.
We get this sort of Dropkick Murphy’s vibe from their first single off this project ‘I Need To Have Your Babies.’
And then who wouldn’t want to get black out drunk when ‘Happy Hour’ comes on..this one was made for the bars!
What’s most crazy to us is the amount of instruments that were used to create this album..
There are xylophones, bouzoukis, clav organs, accordions and theremins that can be found throughout!
Our standout track is by far the 70’s vibe ‘Pearl Of Peril’ that really makes us feel like we’re in a time machine!
If you’re looking for a deep ocean odyssey, you’ve come just to the right place!
Follow their journey on Twitter, IG, & Facebook so you don’t miss a moment!
