From the artist: SOLEILLE is a Hip-Hop/R&B singer, songwriter and lyricist from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). She grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb outside of Washington DC. While she grew up in the United States, her family has roots in both Cameroon + Nigeria. As a result, she works to incorporate elements of both the French language + Blvck Nöize (sounds of the African Diaspora) into her work. Additionally, she is inspired by celestial symbols which inspires her to release her music upon promising celestial moments (new & full moons especially). All of these characteristics of Soleille were combined to create her French name which translates into “Sun”.
