EliZag drops off hit with “Rooftop Garden”"
Eliza Gelinas is a composer, animator, and educator located in Worcester, Massachusetts. They received a Master’s of Music degree from The Hartt School in the Spring of 2021, where they organized multiple concerts, scored music for a theater production, and produced a collection of audio-visual projects that feature dance, animation, and poetry.
Eliza has recently presented work from their Master’s composition thesis project, GRAY AREA, as a guest artist for the course, "... they think these bodies can't: otherism in classical music composition" at the Berlin University of the Arts, Studium Generale designed by Anthony R. Green, the DIY Film Festival in Long Beach, CA produced by Jane Free Productions, and Disco World Issue One: a zine by Jori Dudzikowski.
They have a variety of content available on Youtube from original compositions, acoustic song covers to “draw with me” process videos. Opening over the shadowy side of Panda’s Patisserie, “Rooftop Garden” is a carefree and calming song full of beautiful guitar and keyboard melodies. Diegetic sound design such as ambient city noises, coffee pots rumbling and a watering can are incorporated in the beat while the music is reflecting on the feeling of being outside at sunset.
