Lilly North delivers different flavors on beat tape “ISOLATION”
Lilly North is a queer artist, and talks about how their creations depict the fact that they are queer, and that this project also works to depict that.
When we first saw the title and cover of North’s project, we expected to hear mostly somber, ominous sounds. While there are a few, you’re certainly in for a treat as a listener, as North provides us with sounds from multiple different genres.
North shows diversity within the first 2 tracks, sifting through different sounds from beginning to end of each, and this trend continues throughout the project.
North describes the project as a musical illustration of their relationship, and how it made them feel, but also more than that. By the description and variance of sounds, we can assume that it is was a very chaotic time in their life, that was able to fuel something beautiful.
We are certainly looking forward to hearing more of what Lilly North has to offer.
